Western Mediterranean Cruise: 16 nights in May 2012

Be sure to visit the historic Catalan Church of San Francesco, with its ceramic dome and Gothic belltower in Alghero, Italy. Everyone needs to experience Rome's breathtaking monuments- the Collosseum, Trevi fountain and the Vatican City. The delightful seaside town of Portofino is a favourite Italian Riviera hangout of the rich and famous, but for lesser mortals, there are cheerful pizzerias and craft shops in the streets around the waterfront. Eat some Mussels and Oysters in Sete, France and be in awe of all the Gaudi architecture and vibrant fruit markets in Barcelona. Pop into Port Mahon, Menorca before cruising to Portimao, Portugal where you can dine on the freshest fish around.
