Mediterranean Cruise: 16 nights in May 2012

Cruise in the magnificent Mediterranean waters on the luxurious Queen Elizabeth.   Arrive in Malaga and spend time in the attractive old quarter by its cathedral, two forts, the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro, that offer fine views, gardens and museums, and good shopping on its bustling ‘avenidas’.  For bookworms, the gorgeous island of Cephalonia will stir memories of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, amidst stunning ribbons of beach, fragrant pine groves, tiny coves and lively village tavernas. Dubrovnik often described as ‘the pearl of the Adriatic’ is a magnificent place to spend the day. Walk the Old City wall, bathe on the rock cliffs overlooking the ocean or dine in the cafes along the marble streets. Is there any more romantic city than Venice? You can’t imagine it possible as sunset casts its glow over celebrated canals. After exploring by gondola, why not head to Harry’s Bar to sip its famous Bellini cocktail. Somewhere along some peaceful canal or beneath a beautiful bridge, you’ll fall for this extraordinary city’s eternal spell. Korcula - Was Marco Polo born here? That’s the disputed claim to fame here, and you can even call in at his supposed birthplace. True or not, Korcula’s exquisite medieval streets – encircled by sparkling sea on three sides, dominated by St Mark’s Cathedral and home to the colourful Moreska Sword Dance – will certainly bring out the explorer in you. Explore the legacies of Greek, Roman and Venetian Empires on Corfu or simply marvel at nature’s treasures on an island swathed in emerald green, lapped by turquoise waters and fringed with golden sand. Pastel colours on Venetian buildings may have faded, but the welcoming scent of eucalyptus, fig and lemon trees are fragrant as ever. Soak up the history in Cadiz or saunter beneath sweeping palms.

P&O Cruises P&O - Pacific Dawn australia cruise sale
Bask in the Pacific Sun on this 11 night cruise from Brisbane. Arrive in Noumea 2 days later ready for some beautiful beaches and French Pacific culture. Explore the city by Le Petit Train, and visit the traditional Boulangerie (Bakery Shops), cafés (where you can taste New Caledonia’s own coffee) and fabulous restaurants where you can sample fine New Caledonian foods cooked in a French style with imported French wines.
The waters off the Isle of Pines must really 'wash whitest' because the sands of the Isle's Kato Bay will impress any visitor with its white, white, talcum-like beach.  The most difficult aspect of your visit to the Isle of Pines will be saying goodbye to its sunny skies, friendly faces, warm waters and of course those beautiful beaches.
Tiny Mystery Island is picture perfect, with sandy pathways that lead to white beaches edged with coconut trees and crystal clear lagoons offering great snorkelling. The locals from a nearby island will come to sell their few shells and goods and your day may be spent relaxing on the sand while the local band plays songs of welcome.
The serene island of Wala has pristine beaches, forests and is home to 200-300 friendly smiley locals.  The soft coral white beach fringed with palms shelves down to bright turquoise waters and the inky blue of the deep channel dividing the island from the mainland. Dugouts ply the foreshore and the snorkelling is excellent. On the beach there is a bar serving cool Tusker Vanuatu beer and soft drinks.
Champagne Bay will amaze with the breathtaking views of the most spectacular stretch of beach fringed with palm trees. If you're feeling energetic, then you might like to take part in a game of beach volleyball, or just relax on the sand and enjoy the views.
Vila- The harbour is quite active with fishing boats, yachts and speedboats passing between the various nearby islands. The dock bustles with dancers and music and there are lots of friendly locals selling handicrafts. The covered market place is a colourful and interesting place to visit selling handicrafts, fruits and colourful tropical flowers.

Monte Carlo to Southampton Cruise - 12 nights in May 2012.

Monte Carlo to Southampton, 12 - nights
The beaches are beautiful in Palma De Mallorca, but save time for the charms of the northwest and the interior: caves, bird sanctuaries, monasteries and medieval cities, local museums, outdoor cafés, and village markets.  Cadiz, Spain is near Andalusia, which is Spain's fourth-largest city and an olé cliché of matadors, flamenco, tapas bars, gypsies, geraniums, and strolling guitarists.  Sail to Portimao, Portugal located on the estuary of the Arade River then cruise to La Coruña, the largest city in Spain's Galicia region, and among the country's busiest ports. The remote Galicia area is tucked into the northwest corner of the Iberian Peninsula, surprising visitors with its green and misty countryside that is so much unlike other parts of Spain.  Bilbao, Spain's old treasures still quietly line the banks of the rust-color Nervión River but Frank Gehry's stunning museum, Norman Foster's sleek subway system, and the glass Santiago Calatrava footbridge have all helped foment a cultural revolution.  If you're a wine connoisseur, Bordeaux is still the doorway to paradise: pretty Sauternes and Graves lie to the south; Pomerol and St-Émilion to the east; the flat and dusty Médoc peninsula to the northwest, looking across the Gironde Estuary at the vineyards of Bourg and Blaye. Le Verdon-sur-Mer, northwest of Bordeaux, is in the region which is synonomous with the wine trade. It's waiting to be explored and is easily reached from the port.  End the cruise amongst the Cathedrals of Southampton.
